Being one of the major integrator and EPC companies in Turkey, Kronos took part in the 2 days event hosted by The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) concerning the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant. 1st day of the meeting was in a well-prepared seminar structure with the participation of IDOM Nuclear Services, a Spain based company providing consultancy and engineering services. Attendant companies followed up the sessions providing technical and regulative aspects for becoming a supplier to the nuclear industry. B2B meetings were carried during the second day enabling parties to build a common understanding for future actions.
Construction phase for Akkuyu NPP is in progress and urging the procurement of necessary equipment with ancillaries for the first reactor soon. When completed, Akkuyu NPP will be powering the energy infrastructure of Turkey with four units of 1.200 MW VVER type reactors.
